Enhance Access to Nutritional Education

  • We plan to partner with local WIC agencies to provide workshops on nutrition, focusing on the benefits of seasonal produce.   
  • We will develop educational materials that highlight the availability of WIC-approved products at local farmers' markets.

Promote Seasonal Produce Awareness

  • Create a seasonal calendar that highlights available local produce and incorporate it into outreach efforts. 
  • Host community events that showcase how to incorporate these fresh foods into everyday meals, utilizing FMNP benefits.

Research and Develop Best Practices

  • We intend to conduct research on the impact of nutrition education on FMNP participants.
  • We will collaborate with agricultural and nutritional experts to develop best practices for utilizing seasonal produce effectively.

Foster Community Engagement

  • We plan to launch awareness campaigns through social media and local events that encourage community members to visit farmers' markets.
  • We will establish a community garden where WIC recipients can learn how to grow their own produce, promoting self-sufficiency.

Enhance Flower Education Techniques

  • We will provide workshops on flower care and arrangements using seasonal and local blooms, encouraging the use of flowers in community events.
  • We will share techniques for flower hydration and preservation, tying in the importance of nature in promoting health and well-being.
