Flowers need tender loving care (TLC) to thrive. When someone says a plant needs "TLC," it refers to the special attention required for it to grow properly, such as proper watering, light, and repotting. For example, by implementing techniques like tenchonin, we can transform flowers to bloom faster, hydrate better, or even change their shape. This process requires practice, but the results are well worth the effort.

Take a closer look at how to care for specific flowers:

  • Hydrangea: Hydrate by drinking from the stem and petals, or dehydrate the bloom’s head in water for about 30 minutes for a perked-up look.
  • Guelder-rose: Remove leaves from the stems to prevent the flowers from dropping.
  • Asparagus Fern: These ferns have small spikes along their stems, which add texture to your arrangements.
  • Orchids: The petals are delicate. Handle them carefully and add them last to your arrangement to prevent damage.
  • Carnations: Once considered inexpensive, carnations have evolved into a variety of vibrant colors and textures. Gently push open the top petals to create a fuller look.
  • Peonies: Known for their wide array of colors and bloom types, such as Coral Charm, which changes color as it blooms from coral to soft pink, peach, and pale yellow.
